I'm not sure if this has already been posted on the site, apologies if it has. I spotted this video on Twitter about the ESA appeals process and what to expect at the tribunal, and I thought it was very good.

Very useful. I find it much easier to watch a video than read lengthy explanations, however helpful. I've downloaded it for future reference.

Just heard on Twitter that the video has been removed, surprise surprise. The DWP can't have benefit claimants being given tips on how to succeed at an appeal, can they? But, thankfully, someone else has uploaded the video here... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXQU-wrOHjE

The next time the appeal video shows up, record it and save to your hard drive, memory stick, etc. There's free software out there to copy that sites videos, so have it at the ready because at the moment you've gotta be quick. I saved it to mp4 and can play back with windows media player and/or VLC media player (free download)

Real Player has a Downloader Agent that can be added - it automatically detects video in a browser and gives you the option to download.

If it keeps getting removed, I'll upload it to a non-video site (e.g. RapidShare); the version I saved is a QuickTime MP4.

It seems that nickd from MyLegal (who's also on here) doesn't think the video is helpful, as it gives the impression of a more relaxed and understanding environment than in a real tribunal hearing, along with missing out some of the important features of the process. You can read his views here... http://mylegal.proboards.com/index.cgi? ... age=1#1421

So while the video may be reassuring to people worried about what happens at an appeal (even for me, who hasn't even been migrated from IB yet), it's quite possibly false reassurance.

Thanks for the link Angelusmalus

Got my tribunal soon and I tend to agree that the MOJ video, although useful, tends to paint too rosy a picture.

I'll have more realistic expectations now when I go.
